John Traini

John Traini is the son of Tony and Patty Traini of Oakdale, California. As an eight year member of the NJSA John has participated in many leadership conferences, Western Regional shows as well as the World Pork Expo. After showing his first pig at the Stanislaus County fair in 2003 John was hooked and said “I show pigs because I enjoy the people and working with animals”. Throughout his membership in the NJSA John believed his favorite NJSA memory to be when he received the Darrell Anderson Male Youth Leadership Award at the Indianapolis leadership conference.

As a student at Modesto Junior College majoring in Animal Science John is a member of the Livestock Judging Team, Young Farmers, and his herdsmen at the Modesto Junior College Swine unit. Following his junior college education John plans on transferring to a four-year university to retain his bachelor’s degree and eventually masters in animal science.

Outside of school, judging, and showing pigs, John enjoys hanging out with friends and family watching sports. Please help us is congratulating John Traini as one of this month’s NJSA Spotlight Members!
