Kolby Butcher

Flora, Ind.

Kolby is 4 years old and the son of Scott and Cari Butcher. He attends Miss Mary’s Preschool and has a little sister, Morgan. Kolby loves to play with his tractors and animals in his free time. He has been showing pigs for two years, since his first show in 2010 at the Indiana State fair in the Open Barrow Show.

Kolby first began to like pigs after he was around is dads pigs and began helping with them. He likes to walk the pigs around the yard and to feed them. His favorite thing about showing pigs is walking around in the ring and getting a ribbon. Kolby’s favorite show is North American International Livestock Expo because of the green shavings and getting to play with his friends. He has shown at the 2011 WPX, 2011 NJSS and the 2012 NJSA Southeast Regional.

Kolby’s most memorable moment in the NJSA was driving the 2011 Foundation Females with Micheal Lackey before the Grand Champion Gilt Drive at the 2011 NJSS. Kolby’s future plans are to continue showing pigs and start Kindergarten in 2013. One day Kolby wants to be a farmer, police officer and a pig showman.
