Leah Marek

Riverside, Iowa

 

Leah Marek is the 10 year old daughter of Tim and Heather Marek.  She lives in Riverside, Iowa and is currently attending Lincoln Elementary School.  She has three older sisters, Lexi (16), Macy (14), and Makenzi (12). In school Leah enjoys reading and math. Her hobbies out of school pertain to pigs, cattle, and dance. Leah has been very successful throughout the years getting second in class behind her sister at the American Royal.  Leah says that her favorite show is the Iowa State Fair! She started showing pigs at age 3 along side her sisters.

Leah says the reason why she shows pigs is because her sister’s did and now she thinks its fun! She enjoys meeting new people and getting to spend time with her family!

Leah would like to tell the young members of NJSA that it is a lot of fun and there is a lot to do! Her most memorable moment in NJSA is most definitely the NJSS DANCE!

Her future plans are to continue showing pigs and having fun with friends. Someday she would like to become a movie director or a farmer. Right now Leah is getting ready to show at the 2012 National Western Stock Show in Denver and she is super excited to see all of her friends!
