Levi Heimer is the 16-year-old son of Curt and Sue Heimer. Levi is the second of four boys: Seth, Casey, and Brock. He attends Ridgeview High School in Colfax , Ill. , where he is the starting Tailback on the Football team. Heimer also participates in track where he runs the 400m. 

Levi has been showing hogs for nine years. He has participated in the Summer Spectacular as well as the Youth Leadership Conference . His favorite part of these events are getting the opportunity to meet new people, and talk to breeders, not to mention analyzing hogs. 

Levi's favorite competition at the Summer Spectacular is showmanship. "It takes the most skill because you have to have the hog in the best shape, you have to know your animal, you have to answer questions to the best of your ability, and last you have the most time to prepare," Heimer says. 

The NJSA has helped Levi meet kids from different states, and to become a better leader of an organization.  "But most of all, It has helped further my knowledge in the swine industry," Levi says.
