Christina is 18 years old and a 2004 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Delaware. Christina has one brother, Bill, who is 20 years old. She is a freshman majoring in Animal Science at the University of Delaware and is a member of the animal science club.

In 2001, she began exhibiting purebred and market swine along with Holstein dairy heifers. Her first exhibition was at the Talbot County Fair in Maryland . While showing, Christina became a member of the collegiate 4-H and began exhibiting beef, dairy, swine, and sheep for her 4-H projects.

A very active member in the FFA, Christina was encouraged to stay involved by her FFA advisor Steven Cook. She was a member of the National Livestock Judging Team, a Regional and State Star, and a recipient of the DeKalb Award. Christina has received proficiency awards in swine and diversified livestock.  All of these events helped Christina earn the title of the Delaware State FFA Vice President. Along with the FFA, Christina was elected to serve on the Delaware Junior Livestock Board and has served as a member of the Ewell Saint Paul Choir for five years.

Christina joined the NJSA with the hope of developing her interest in swine and to become more involved in the swine industry. Her favorite NJSA event is the public speaking competition at the National Junior Summer Spectacular in Louisville , Ky. , where Christina placed third in the senior division. Along with participating in the events at the NJSS, Christina has attended the Eastern Regional and will be running for the position of eastern region director this summer in Louisville .

When giving advice to other members of the NJSA, Christina says, “Never give up, because there is a lot to learn at the shows and you can meet some of your best friends there. If I could describe the NJSA, I would say it is full of outstanding opportunities!”
