Chase Grimm, 9, of Maynard Iowa is the son of Jim and Pat Grimm. He has one sister, Lyndey, 26. The Grimm Family runs a farrow to finish operation composed primarily of 300 Yorkshire and Hampshire sows.

Chase attends West Central Maynard Elementary School and is heavily involved with Cub Scouts, 4-H, baseball and choir. He also enjoys reading books, walking pigs and helping Jim out on the farm.

For the past 3 years, Chase has shown pigs, and says that one of his favorite activities has been the judging contest at the World Pork Expo Junior National, which he won in 2005. He also states that he joined the NJSA because he likes the hogs, he enjoys showing and he has a great time hanging out with his friends.

In the future, winning first place in the Cub Scouts’ Pinewood Derby and playing on a number one rated baseball team are some of Chase’s goals.
