Cassie Holloway

702 Darlington Rd.
Darlington , MD 21034

Fourteen-year-old Cassie Holloway is a junior member from Darlington , Md. She lives with her parents, Henry and Brenda, her brothers, Mark and Nathan, and her sister, Maggie. On their farm, they raise an orchard that contains peaches, apples, and nectarines; they also raise horses, cattle, pigs, chickens, goats, dogs and cats.

Cassie has been showing pigs for six years and joined the NJSA because she "thought it would be interesting."  Her favorite NJSA activity is the Skillathon. She attributes some of her greatest accomplishments to be placing 1st in the Skillathon and being selected the top sheep showman at her local county fair. In addition to the NJSA, Cassie is involved in 4-H, church, and the Havre De Grace High School Marching Band, where she plays the clarinet.

Some of Cassie's favorite hobbies are horseback riding, playing tennis, reading and being with animals. In the future she hopes to remain involved in the NJSA as long as she can.  Although she's not completely sure what she wants to do when she grows up, Cassie knows what direction in which she wants to go. She wants to go to college, earn a degree, and work in a field that involves animals.
