Collin is a 13-year-old who loves science. While attending school, Collin enjoys his science class because his teacher makes learning fun. When he’s not in class, this young man can be found on the basketball court as a point guard or on the greens enjoying a round of golf.

Collin began showing pigs when he was 3 years old. Some of the first pigs he showed were Polands . His father played a major role in Collin becoming involved with the swine industry. His father was an agriculture teacher and they raised hogs on their farm. Although, he does not have a favorite pig, Collin does enjoy working with Hampshires.

Collin is a member of his local 4-H club where he participates in the swine project and drawing. “I like drawing whatever comes to mind,” Collin explained. Collin is also very involved in his church’s youth group, the Heaston Youth Group.

The NJSA event which Collin enjoys the most is the Southwest Regional because he likes the judging contest and spending time at the shows with his friends. Collin would tell his friends the NJSA is really fun, there are a lot of activities to participate in, and you can meet come really great friends.

After school, Collin hopes to be an agriculture teacher like his dad or a professional golfer like Ben Curtis. Especially since Ben Curtis used to show pigs when he was younger.
