Lexis Airgood, the 11-year-old daughter of Kari and Andy Airgood, has been showing pigs for two years. Lexis and her sister, Liza, 7, are students at Warsaw Christian School .

The Airgood family resides on a 45 acre farm in Warsaw , Ind. They have about 40 pigs on the farm, at any given time. Lexis is very active in the Kosciusko County 4-H program. As she became more involved in the swine activity, she decided to join the NJSA to promote purebred stock.

Lexis’s favorite swine related activity is exhibiting at the county and state fairs. This young lady is a dedicated student who is involved in numerous organizations. Some of her greatest accomplishments include being a straight-A Honor Student, member of the school choir, and her principle even awarded her with the highest moral quality in her class.

Lexis is very reserved and quiet, yet she continually pushes past this to step outside her comfort zone. While in 4-H, she has taken several projects, including baking, foods, scrapbooking, vet science, and swine. During her second year showing, she exhibited the Champion Landrace Gilt and Reserve Grand Gilt at the county fair.  She later took this gilt to the Indiana State Fair, and it placed 3rd in its class.

Lexis is a natural animal lover. You can find her with the cats, around the calves, and of course with the pigs. In the future, Lexis wants to become a veterinarian.

Lexis, on behalf of the NJSA, we wish you continued success!
