Krista Anderson is the oldest daughter of Randal and Teresa Anderson. This 18-year-old has 2 siblings Jason, 10, and Lindsey, 14. The family owns a small, farrow-to-finish operation, outside of town. Krista’s dad is a large animal vet, and her mom works as a registered nurse.

When evaluating the NJSA’s numerous activities, Krista explains that her favorite one is the Western Regional. Krista says this show is extremely laid back, yet still competitive. At the Western Regional, everyone is friendly and it offers a family atmosphere.
Krista is very active in school and extra-curricular activities and has earned many accomplishments. From an educational stand point, she has been honored as a “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” student. She has also obtained success in the show ring. At the State Fair, she won champion boar of all breeds, and premier exhibitor twice. She also has been the Premier FFA Exhibitor and Supreme Swine Exhibitor at her County Fair. An extremely prestigious award that Krista has received is the National Swine Proficiency Entrepreneurship honor.
This young lady is very active in FFA. She is a member of the livestock judging team and parliamentary procedures team. She also participates in prepared public speaking and is a section officer. At
In her free time, Krista enjoys raising pigs, entertaining her cat, “Princess,” and shopping. She has more than 60 pairs of shoes.
In the future, Krista wants to graduate from college with a B.S. in Agriculture Education and Agriculture Communications. She also wishes to get a Master’s degree in one of these areas. She says her ideal job would be “the director of communications for the NSR.” She would also like to have a swine operation on the side.
