Kari Billhimer

Kari Billhimer, 15, just joined the NJSA. She is the youngest daughter of Candi and Dave Billhimer. Kari has 2 sisters, Sharon, 19, and Patti, 17.

Kari resides on a farm with her family in Young Ward, Utah . They raise Durocs, Hampshires, and Yorkshires. They share the farm with several dogs.

Kari is a ninth grader at the South Cache 8 and 9 Center. She is involved in several school activities. Kari is a member of the basketball, cross-country, and track teams. She is also the reporter for her FFA Chapter.

Being an active member in 4-H and FFA has given Kari several opportunities. She is now able to teach others how to show. Kari also enjoys livestock judging and exhibiting pigs at shows. Selling puppies is another hobby that Kari enjoys.

This young lady has accomplished many tasks. At her first NJSA show, the 2006 Western Regional, she participated in the gilt show, Skillathon, Showmanship, Barnyard Olympics, and the Sweepstakes Contest. She is also proud to be the exhibitor of the Grand Champion market barrow at the Cache County Fair. Her first year exhibiting, Kari won the Grand Champion Showman Title at the Utah State Fair.

In the future, Kari plans on attending Utah State University . Perhaps she will also join her dad back on the farm.
