Kallie Brattain

Kallie Brattain, 13, of Greencastle , Ind. , is an energetic NJSA member who enjoys going to many hog shows throughout the year. She is the daughter of Kent and Kim Brattain and has two older siblings, Katey and Kalen, who are also very active in the swine industry. Kallie will be a seventh grader this fall at Greencastle Middle School where she enjoys playing volleyball and basketball. 

When she isn’t working with her show pigs, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, working on the family farm, playing sports, and going shopping. 

Some of her accomplishments this past year have been winning Junior Showmanship, Champion Chester White gilt and Champion Landrace gilt at the Putnum County Fair.  She also actively participated at the National Junior Summer Spectacular, her favorite show, this past summer. 

Kallie says her favorite part about showing is showmanship and she really enjoys all the other contests the NJSA has to offer.  She simply states, “I love NJSA because I get to meet new people from all over the country and show my pigs.”
