Kyle Johnson is the 20-year-old son of Shane and Carolyn Johnson of Grove Okla.  He attends Connors State College and is on the Livestock Judging Team. Kyle and his family have eight sows, mostly for the production of show pigs.  Kyle has had a long show career of 16 years and said the reason he joined the NJSA is because he has always had a great passion for showing purebred gilts. His favorite event in the NJSA is the gilt show. Kyle has had a very successful show career in which he was named grand champion at the Oklahoma-Arkansas State Fair, Reserve Champion Yorkshire at the Tulsa State Fair, Reserve Champion OPB and Duroc at the American Royal, and 2005 Southwest Regional Senior Sweepstakes Champion.

In Kyle’s spare time he likes playing golf and raising pigs.  After finishing school at Connors State College Kyle plans to go to Oklahoma State University and receive a bachelor’s degree in Ag Business. He says he would also like to have a purebred Yorkshire herd and remain active in the NJSA and the NSR.
