Wow, ladies and gentleman – hold on to your boots!  This little guy is only three years old, but he is full of spunk, energy, and excitement!  I met Zach at the 2006 Eastern Regional (his first show ever!), and I must admit – he is quite the little charmer!  He is the son of Kim and Dan Heckman of Spring Mills, PA.  He is the youngest of three children, and the only boy! His older sisters are Emma, 6, and Katie, 9, who are also NJSA members.

When I talked to Zach on the telephone, he very excitedly pronounced to me that his pig, Princess, is going to have babies soon.  He is very proud of her, and he is also proud that he will be showing his duroc, Angel, at the first Southeast Regional Show in Perry, GA.  He says he likes showing pigs because they do funny tricks.  He also likes to play with them and help his mom and dad feed them.  In addition to showing pigs, Zach likes the skill-a-thon, but he admits that he “needs more practice with it.”

In addition to showing pigs, Zach is living the life of a carefree kid, having lots of cool adventures.  He must have been a very good boy in 2006, too, because Santa brought him a neat Christmas bear.  He also likes basketball and making lots of funny faces. I am beginning to wonder if there is ever a time that he is not having fun!  Zach hopes to attend pre-school next year, and is looking forward to lots of NJSA events in his future.
