Meri Grace Carson is the 5-year-old daughter of Mike and MaryAnn Carson of Lake Village, Arkansas. She is also the proud older sister to two brothers, Garrett and Graham, who is also an NJSA member.

This special young lady is an active member of the NJSA and has been showing pigs since she was 2 years old! Even though Meri Grace and her family raise lots of show pigs, she says her favorite breed of pig to show is a Yorkshire because they are white. Out of all of her family’s pigs, Meri Grace’s favorite is her very own pet pig named Princess.

Meri Grace greatly enjoys being a member of the NJSA and participating in various NJSA events. One of her favorite things about participating in NJSA events is meeting new people and making new friends from across the country. She is a true showman at heart though and states that her absolute favorite thing about NJSA is simply showing pigs! Meri Grace has even carried her love for showing pigs to her kindergarten class when she shared with them her experiences showing pigs with the NJSA.

In the fall, Meri Grace will begin the first grade. When she is not in school or showing pigs, she enjoys gymnastics and swimming. This pig lover also enjoys reading books about pigs! As for the future, Meri Grace would eventually like to be a pediatrician. Until then though, she will focus on the first grade and showing pigs as often as she can!

Thank you, Meri Grace, for your love and dedication to the NJSA! We wish you the very best in all that you do and look forward to seeing you at the next show!
