Jessica Awe, 13, is the daughter of Randy and Jennifer Awe of Elkhart, Ill. Jessica is a 7th-grader at Mt. Pulaski School. She has been showing pigs for five years – since she was 8 years old.

Her most memorable show experience was winning her county fair. This was very important to her. Her favorite NJSA event is the skillathon, because she is good at it.

She and her family have shown at the NJSS and the World Pork Expo the last few years and plan to continue in the future.

Aside from showings pigs, she is a very good athlete, playing basketball and volleyball. Her future plans are to go to college on an athletic scholarship playing either volleyball or basketball.
