Lynsee Shaffer

Lynsee is 19 years old and is attending Butler Community College in Kansas, where she is a member of the livestock judging team. She is the daughter of Michelle and Terry Shaffer and younger sister of Aimee.
Lynsee has been showing since she was 6 years old when she showed at her county fair. A couple years later, she and her family decided to attend the North American International Livestock Exposition. It was there that she heard about the NJSA and it sparked her interest. She has now been a NJSA member for 8 years.
Lynsee is very passionate about showmanship, her favorite NJSA contest. She says that it gives showmen a chance to display all of their hard work. She believes that showmanship highlights the showman's preparation and allows them to be proud of all they have worked for.
