Walker Gill

Walker Gill of Nahunta, Ga., is a 5-year-old who has been showing pigs since he was 3. He attends preschool and is the son of Richard and Carole Ann Gill of Nahunta, Ga.

He became involved with showing pigs through his father, who is an ag teacher. He also has three older sisters who love to show pigs, so it was without doubt that he should also show pigs.

His first NJSA show was the NJSA Southeast Regional in Perry, Ga., last February. He showed a Yorkshire gilt. The interesting part is that he showed against his three sisters and two cousins all in the same gilt class. It was definitely a family event for the first-time showman!

Walker’s favorite NJSA event is the gilt show, where he gets to exhibit his gilt. Aside from showings pigs, Walker is very busy with other activities such as attending church functions with his youth group, helping his sister with her relay-for-life team, singing and playing sports. He enjoys tee-ball, basketball and soccer.

We would like to wish Walker much success in the NJSA in the years to come!
