“American Woman” is not just the name of Reagan Langemeier’s favorite pig (a Chester White), but describes the personality and diverse interests of this young lady.
Six-year-old Reagan has been showing hogs for three years, and exhibited at the National Junior Summer Spectacular for the first time last year. Her greatest success in the show ring last year was exhibiting the Champion Duroc at the Illinois Preview Show. Although she has shown many different breeds, she says her favorite is Yorkshires.
Reagan is a girl of many talents. She loves to play sports and is quite successful as a soccer and basketball player. Reagan says her goal is to work with animals in the future, possibly as a veterinarian. Currently, she has six rabbits, three heifers and two sows.
Before her showing career is over, Reagan says her biggest dream is to show Miniature Herefords. Good luck with all your future endeavors Reagan. You are truly an “American Woman” and a spotlight in the NJSA.
