Open to NJSA members 8-12 years old. Parents are encouraged to attend.

9 a.m.: Welcome by Jennifer Shike, NSR & Dr. Doug Parrett, University of Illinois
9:05 a.m.: Leadership Activity by NJSA Board & Mentors
9:15 a.m.: Walk to the Large Classroom in ASL
9:30 a.m.: Baby Pig Selection with Brandon Yantis
10 a.m.: Break
10:10 a.m.: Preparing for the Skillathon with Ryan Giertz
10:30 a.m.: Mock Skillathon
11:10 a.m.: Ice Breaker with NJSA Mentors
11:20 a.m.: Leadership Workshop with Jennifer Shike
11:50 a.m.: Lunch – pizza
12:20 p.m.: Showmanship Starts at Home with Brian Down & Jennifer Babbs
12:35 p.m.: Walk to Stock Pavilion
12:55 p.m.: Showmanship in the Ring with Brian Down & Jennifer Babbs
1:20 p.m.: Showmanship Questions
1:35 p.m.: Divide into two groups
- Group A: Teamwork Activity with NJSA Mentors, followed by Judging Contest Workout with Dr. Dan Shike
- Group B: Meats Lab Tour & PQA with Dr. Tom Carr
2:35 p.m.: Switch groups
- Group A: Meats Lab Tour
- Group B: Judging Contest Workout, followed by Teamwork Activity
3:50 p.m.: Wrap-up & Survey
4 p.m.: Conference concludes
