• All exhibitors must be certified through the Pork Quality Assurance Level 3 Program administered by the National Pork Board. Swift & Co., the NAILE’s local packing facility, requires this certification.
• The junior purebred show includes Duroc, Hampshire, Landrace and Yorkshire entries.
• The show, which is open to barrows and gilts, is a terminal show without a carcass contest.
• Junior showmanship is open to all youth, whether exhibiting animals or not.
• Junior exhibitors of purebred entries must be members of the National Junior Swine Association. For membership information, call 765.463.3594.
• All purebred animals must be transferred to the junior exhibitors on or before Oct. 1, 2009.
